Chiltern Heritage Cycle Trail
This heritage cycle trail has three 25 mile loops on quiet roads, including a shorter family route.
Phoenix Trail (National Cycle Network Route 57)
The Phoenix Trail is between Princes Risborough and Thame on National Cycle Network Route 57, just 10 minutes via car from The Peacock Country Inn.
The trail features some wonderful artworks, red kites, impressive birds of prey, railway heritage and magnificent views of Chiltern Hills. Enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty with your family, friends or loved ones all year round. The Phoenix Trail has something to suit everyone of all ages. The path is a flat, well-surfaced, which is ideal for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The first 2.5 miles of Thame are surfaced with tarmac and the remainder with compacted limestone dust. There’s also seating every 500 metres.

Icknield Way Riders Route
The Icknield Way is a 23-mile-long distance route through the Chilterns. The route follows the oldest track in Britain, dating from Neolithic times (4,000-2,000 B.C).
Bledlow Circular Ride
The Bledlow Circular Ride is a 10-mile circular path passing through the Chilterns countryside with fine open views.
Wendover Woods Cycle Trails
The Wendover Woods Cycle Trail is 6-miles trail mainly on forest tracks. The routes are visibly signposted too.
For mountain bike enthusiasts, the Aston Hill Mountain bike area, near Wendover Woods, about 20 minutes’ drive from us has great off-road trails, with medium, hard and extreme difficulty sections.
